Kitten litter's lone survivor rescued from Niles factory

Furrever & After Cat Sanctuary is caring for the lone survivor of a litter of kittens found at a Niles factory.

A supervisor at Phillips Manufacturing discovered the kitten on Thursday. Three others died, likely due to heat inside the steel plant, according to a social media message posted by the sanctuary. No mother cat was located.

Furrever & After Cat Sanctuary, a foster-based nonprofit, is requesting donations to assist with the care of young kittens and other cats.

Needed supplies include Miracle Nipples, KMR (kitten milk replacer), blankets, unscented wipes, wet and dry kitten food, adult cat food, and litter.
