A Boadman woman was scammed out of $200 after falling victim to a concert ticket scam on the internet.

According to a police report, the woman told officers she was browsing the internet to purchase tickets for a concert when she found a listing offering a "fan badge" for $200 which would make her a fan club member and eligible to attend several concerts.

Police say the woman attempted to pay for the badge via PayPal, but the payment kept declining.

The woman told police she contacted the supposed seller and told them about the issue and was told that she could pay for it using Apple gift cards instead.

Police say the woman did pay for the fan badge via a $200 Apple gift card and was told the price was now $400 because an error occurred and that someone would be coming to her house to collect the rest of the money.

According to the report, ever since this happened, she's been receiving messages from other numbers asking her to send money or purchase more Apple gift cards.

Police say the woman blocks these numbers, but keeps receiving calls from new ones.

At this time, no arrests were made and no charges have been filed.
