First responders from Struthers and Poland came to assist in Lowellville Saturday night, where a kayak with three people capsized at the Waterfront Park and Canoe Livery near the Mahoning River.
In a post on Facebook, the Lowellville Police Department says the aforementioned kayak capsized after it launched. Everyone made it out safely.
The Department also urged everyone to use caution when using a kayak, and not to launch if the river is at a greater volume, and aggressive after heavy rains.
Lowellville Police thanked the Struthers Police Department, Lowellville Firefighter's Association and the Western Reserve Joint Fire District.
