Giant Eagle takes prescriptions from closed Mercer, New Wilmington Rite Aid stores

According to a news release from Giant Eagle, two Rite Aid pharmacy locations will have prescriptions taken over as part of the fourth wave of announced pharmacy locations.

According to the release, fifteen Rite Aid locations are listed that will have prescriptions transferred to Giant Eagle.

Beginning on June 24, the Wilmington Road Giant Eagle Pharmacy, located at 3230 Wilmington Road in New Castle, will take over prescriptions from the following Rite Aid locations:

• 135 South Market Street, New Wilmington
• 100 Franklin Street, Mercer

The remaining stores due for pharmacy prescription transfers are scheduled to be announced at a later date, as information becomes available.
