According to a news release, a restaurant in Lisbon has been named as a finalist for the Great Game of Business Healthy Company All-Star Awards.
Pondi's Restaurant & Market, located at 8954 OH-45, Lisbon, has been named as one of the 2025 finalists.
The Great Game of Business Health Company All-Star Awards recognizes organizations that build people-focused cultures through open-book management and employee engagement, according to the release.
According to the release, finalists are chosen based on measurable results in leadership, profitability, employee engagement and long-term sustainability.
Pondi's being recognized as a finalist, according to the release, places the business among those across the country that are proving how strong business practices can lead to lasting success.
"This honor belongs to our entire team," said Matt Borza, owner of Pondi's.
Borza continued," We believe in giving every employee a seat at the table, and this recognition shows that investing in our people leads to great things - for them, for the business and for our community."
The Health Company Award is a part of a national program that highlights organizations using the Great Game of Business.
The Great Game of Business is a system that teaches employees how to understand the business, forecast results and take ownership of company performance according to the release.

As a finalist, Pondi's will be recognized at the 2025 Great Game of Business Conference, where winners will be announced, according to the release.
According to the Great Game of Business website, the conference is set for four days, beginning September 8 to September 11, 2025.
