Warren man faces sentencing today for unlawful sexual conduct with 15-year-old girl

A Warren man is scheduled to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The sentencing is set to take place before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sean J. O'Brien.

38-year-old Curtis McKellar III entered guilty pleas on April 23 to two third-degree felony counts.

The charges stem from an August 2024 incident where a mother found McKellar engaged in a sexual act with her 15-year-old daughter. The victim also told authorities she had a prior sexual encounter with McKellar in June 2024.

McKellar faces a maximum of 60 months in prison for each charge. He will also be required to register as a Tier 2 sex offender, which mandates twice-yearly registration with the county sheriff's office for 25 years.
