A Mesopotamia Township man is scheduled to appear in Newton Falls Municipal Court next week to face charges of sexual conduct with an animal and cruelty to animals.
Ervin Miller, 28, is set for a hearing on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10 a.m.
According to court documents, Miller is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a horse and torturing a horse in October at his Donley Road property. Both charges are second-degree misdemeanors.
The complaint filed by the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League does not elaborate on the alleged torture of the horse.
Miller pleaded "not guilty" to the charges during an arraignment earlier this month. His attorney has asked prosecutors to turn over details of the investigation.
