The Business Group on Health has honored Bon Secours Mercy Health for its efforts towards the condition and betterment of its employees.

Mercy Health received the Best Employers Award: Excellence in Health and Well-being, an honor bestowed upon employers across multiple industries that show exemplary work in the mental and physical well-being of its employees.
Bon Secours Mercy Health operates in the Valley under the name of just "Mercy Health", with three facilities across Youngstown, Warren and Boardman.
"At Bon Secours Mercy Health, we believe that when our associates flourish — personally, professionally and spiritually — our entire ministry is stronger," said Nicole Martel, MSPH, CHES, Chief Rewards and Well-being officer.
According to the media release, Business Group on Health is a non-profit organization representing the perspectives of large employers on optimizing workforce strategy through means of putting forth better accommodations for employees.
The healthcare company joins the likes of 52 other employers to be recognized with the award since its inception 20 years ago.
Awards were announced at the Business Group on Health's Annual Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee, from April 22 to April 24.
