Youngstown man sentenced to 106 months in prison for drug trafficking, firearm convictions

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of Pennsylvania on June 24, 2025, a Youngstown resident has been sentenced in federal court and will spend time in prison for a conviction of drug traffing.

According to the release, Antoine Tate, 44, will spend 106 months in prison. This equates to roughly 8-and-a-half years.

United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon imposed the sentence on Tate, who previously plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone, according to the release.

Additionally, the release states that Tate possessed a firearm in futherance of that drug trafficking crime.

According to information presented in court, on October 31, 2020 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Tate attempted to flee police officers by vehicle.

Tate was later apprehended by police and was in possession of a loaded pistol, quanities of fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone that he intended to distribute and over $2,000 in cash, according to the release.

Judge Bissoon also ordered that Tate serve six years of supervised release following his sentence, according to the release.
