'Paws and Plants' benefit for Warren animal shelter set for Saturday

According to a news release, a garden center will be hosting a benefit where proceeds will go to supporting an animal shelter in Warren.

The aim of the benefit is to raise money and awareness for The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, located at 909 Martin Luther King Boulevard SW, Warren.

All proceeds raised during the event will go to the care of the animals at The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.

According to the release, the event will take place at Sarah's Garden Center, located at 357 Warner Road SE, Brookfield.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 28, 2025, attendees will be able to meet with Jason Cooke, the president and founder of The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.

Additionally, according to the release, dogs available for adoption will be on-site.

Volunteers from the shelter will also be present at the event with more information on how to adopt, foster or volunteer.

Raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle and dog and cat bandanas will be on sale at this event, according to the release. Hot dogs are also available for purchase for $2.

According to the release, supplies donations are being accepted that will go toward animal care at The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.
