The Warren Sparkle Market will remain open for at least a few more days before officially closing.
Store owner Tony Modarelli tells 21 News the store will remain open until at least Thursday, July 3 with the store's entire inventory on sale. The entire store is currently 40% off, but that number will increase to 50% off beginning Tuesday, July 1.
Whether or not the store remains open on Thursday will depend on how much inventory is left at the end of Wednesday. At the very latest, the store will be closed by July 4.
This is the latest Sparkle location in the Mahoning Valley to close its doors with other recent examples being the South Avenue store in Boardman, as well as locations in Salem, Niles and Craig Beach,
Modarelli had previously told 21 News the reason for the store closing is the rise in competition from big box stores and other grocers in the area. You can read more about that in our related coverage below.
