Walmart auto shows to benefit Akron Children's Boardman Campus

Two Walmart Supercenters in the Mahoning Valley will host auto shows this weekend to raise funds for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley. The events coincide with the 38th annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospital Campaign involving Walmart and Sam’s Club locations across the United States. All donations from this weekend’s activities will support Akron Children’s Boardman Campus.

On Saturday, July 5, the Walmart Supercenter at 200 Goldie Road in Youngstown will host a car show from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The public event will feature food trucks, games, and music. Those interested in showcasing a car can call 330-759-2066 to register. The registration fee is $15 per vehicle, and registered cars will be eligible for prizes.

On Sunday, July 6, the Walmart Supercenter at 6001 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown will hold a Jeep Show and Safety Event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The community event will include games, face painting, and food trucks. Local police and fire departments will also be on hand to provide live demonstrations for attendees. Jeep owners may register their vehicles for the show by calling 330-270-0001. The registration fee is $10 per vehicle. Prizes will be awarded for decorated and presented Jeeps.

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign, in its 38th year, aims to provide children facing illnesses with access to healthcare. Since its inception, the campaign has raised more than $1 billion.
