Cadence Care Network (CCN) of Niles is looking to expand into the state's capital with the organization acquiring the Columbus-based Youth Advocate Services (YAS).

"We are extremely excited to partner with Youth Advocate Services to expand our mission of helping children and families live their best possible lives," said CCN CEO Matt Kresic.

According to a media release, Cadence Care Network is a nonprofit agency offering foster care and mental health services to children and their families in Ohio utilizing innovative means such as trauma-informed methods of treatment.

In 2024 alone, CCN managed to provide mental health services to 2,400 children and their families, increase the amount of foster care families served by 10%, doubled the number of foster children adopted and was able to bring mental health services to 3,000 children across 15 school districts.

Like CCN, YAS provides foster care services to children and families in its community. This acquisition will expand both organization's reach across the state along with taking in more employees for its roster of over 300.

It is believed that this acquisition would allow for more families and children to be treated through the network than ever before, adding to the list of areas CCN operates in along with Niles, Boardman, Ashtabula and Toledo.

This acquisition allows us to build on the solid foundation of foster care, early intervention, and behavioral health services currently provided by YAS in Franklin
County by incorporating our expertise in developing innovative home and community based behavioral health services," said Kresic.
