WARREN A man and woman in Warren accused of neglecting a dog in Warren over the course of several months were arraigned Wednesday morning.
According to court records, 32-year-old Nicole Dougherty and 31-year-old Derrick Sharp were both arraigned on Wednesday on two counts each of prohibitions concerning companion animals.
Both pled not guilty to these charges and are due back in court July 28.
Court documents state that the two were the caretakers of a dog named Shadow. The documents allege that between October of 2024 and April of 2025, the two did not sufficiently supply Shadow with food or water.
According to court records, the complainant in this case is the Animal Welfare League (AWL) of Trumbull County.
