The city of Sharon has released a draft of it's "City Comprehensive Plan" for the public to review and comment on.
The plan is designed to serve as a guideline for future developments in the city.
According to the city the plan was developed after a year and a half of public outreach efforts to determine key issues citizens and businesses are passionate about.
At 114 pages long the plan goes over city demographics, city conditions, trends, potential development focuses, implementation plans, investment priorities and more.
The goal of presenting the plan to the public is to receive feedback from the people that stand to be affected by the development of Sharon and ensure the plan properly aligns with their needs and goals.
The plan will be available for review until August 15, 2025 and can be found online or in a printed version at the Sharon Community Development Office and the Shenango Valley Library.
To submit comments residents can email Dan Bowling, the project consultant or Suzanne Kepple, the City of Sharon Community Development Block Grant Program Manager.
