Applications open for Special Education Teacher Mini-Grant Program

YOUNGSTOWN The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley is now accepting applications for the 9th annual Special Education Teacher Mini-Grant Program.

According to a release, applicants should be teachers from public or private schools in Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana counties who help students on the autism spectrum and other special needs.

The ASMV hosts the program to show deep appreciation for teachers that support and guide children with autism and special needs.

Three grant awards will be presented in the form of $500, $250 and $100 amounts. The funds can be used to help enhance educative environments for students.

Applications can be submitted here by Friday, August 1.

Winners of the three denominations will be selected in mid-August.
