LISBON, Ohio - For 40 years, one home in Lisbon has been celebrating the 4th of July with a rodeo.

Every year, the Hoppel family hosts its 4th of July Rodeo in their backyard and they expect thousands of people to join them.

This year, they have contestants representing 20 states and three different countries.

The first night of the rodeo was held Friday but if you didn't make it there's still another chance to get out there.

"We've got talent, it's stacked up and they're phenomenal," rodeo announcer Aaron Platte said. "If you don't have plans and you couldn't make it out tonight, come tomorrow night."

Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday and the rodeo starts at 7. The event is being held rain or shine and ticket prices are $20 for adults and $15 for kids.

If you go, you'll need to bring your own chairs and blankets for lawn seating.
