YOUNGSTOWN The driver of a pickup truck that crashed into a utility pole on Youngstown's South Side early Tuesday will face charges.
The truck ran into the pole at around 4 a.m. at Midlothian Boulevard and South Avenue after the driver fell asleep.
The pole did not appear to be damaged. However, the front of the pickup was crushed.
As of 5 a.m., the FirstEnergy website showed no power outages in the area.
State Troopers on the scene tell 21 News that the driver sustained injuries described as not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that charges will be filed by the Youngstown Police Department.
