One teen shot, one teen arrested at Weathersfield mobile home park

WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio -

 

A 16-year-old girl is in critical but stable condition after being shot early Tuesday at a mobile home park in Weathersfield Township, according to authorities.

Weathersfield Township Police Department Capt. Kris Hodge said officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 3045 Judyth Street in the Brentwood Manor Trailer Park at 3:50 a.m. Responding officers found the teenage victim inside the residence.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A 16-year-old male was taken into custody by police and transported to the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center.

Police did not release further details, stating that the investigation is ongoing. Earlier Tuesday, dispatchers had confirmed police were at the scene but would not elaborate on the nature of the investigation.

The mobile home park is off DeForest Road SE, west of North Main Street.
