Penguin City reveals limited edition Canfield Fair themed can

CANFIELD Two Mahoning Valley staples have come together to create a special beer can sure to give fans something to crow about.

Penguin City Brewing and the Canfield Fair have teamed up to create a limited edition beer can, which honors the 179th Canfield Fair's events including the Brad Paisley and Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts, as well as the traditions of the fair.

Penguin City co-owner Aspasia Lyras is quoted in a press release saying this collaboration is extremely personal to her thanks to her history with the Canfield Fair.

"The Canfield Fair has been a beloved yearly tradition for me since I was a little girl, so creating this special can for the fair is truly beyond anything I could have dreamed of," Lyras said.

Meanwhile, the Canfield Fair's Director of Grandstand Events George Roman says this partnership is a natural fit with two hometown favorites celebrating a Valley tradition.

"It's more than a can; it's a toast to tradition, community and the local spirit that makes the Canfield Fair so special," Roman said.

The can will be available beginning in mid-July at most local beer and wine re-sellers, as well as right in Penguin City's taproom.
