92-year-old man dies after getting hit by car in Mercer County

A 92-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car in Mercer County Sunday evening.

According to the Mercer County Coroner's Office, the crash happened just after 7 p.m. on the 1700 block of U.S. Highway 19 in Fairview Township Sunday, July 6.

The accident happened when 92-year-old Edward Wiszczor entered the highway and was hit by an ocoming vehicle he did not see. He was pronounced dead at the scene soon after.

The Coroner's Office says Wiszczor's death was the result of multiple blunt force trauma. The death was ruled as accidental.
