PHOTOS: Akron Children's Hospital debuts new mascot

Akron Children's Hospital debuted its new mascot on Wednesday.

Patients, doctors and nurses all gathered within the hospital on Wednesday morning to welcome their new mascot "Pip".

Additionally, mascots from the University of Akron, Youngstown State University, The Akron Zoo and several other organizations were in attendance to Pip's debut to welcome him to the club.

Dr. Michael Bigham, chief quality officer for Akron Children's said,"... childhood is about wanting more - one more bedtime story, one more popsicle, a little more time being a child - and that's very much what Pip embodies."
