Motorcycles, rodeo, draft horses highlight Saturday's Trumbull County Fair

 The Trumbull County Fair continues today, Saturday, July 12, with events across the fairgrounds. Gates, including Gate C, opened to the public at 10 a.m.

Today's schedule at the 179th Trumbull County Fair, located at 899 Everett Hull Road, includes a Leadline and Costuming Show at the Sawyer Ring. Exhibition Halls are open for visitors.

The Draft Horse Arena will host the Open Class Drive-in Halter Draft Horse Show, followed by the Draft Horse and Haflinger Hitch Show. The Junior Fair Dairy Judging Contest is scheduled for the Dairy Ring. Later, the Junior Livestock Sale will take place at the SALE Barn.

Vendors are open across the fairgrounds. Live music performances are planned throughout the day, with Paul Sheehan on the Bicentennial Stage and Jungle Terry on the Historical Stage. Jay Byrd is also scheduled for the Historical Stage, and Julia Neville for the Bicentennial Stage.

Mechanical rides will operate at various times. The Grandstands will feature a Motorcycle Show, with registration for participants between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Later in the day, the High Steel Rodeo "Bulls & Barrels" will be held at the Grandstands. The N.E.O.H.P.A. Horse Pulls are set for the Draft Horse Ring. The Junior Fair Dog Show will take place behind the TCTC building.

 

General admission to the fair is $14, which includes mechanical rides. Senior citizens 62 and older can enter for $5. Children 36 months and under are admitted free. Grandstand events are free to attend. The fair concludes Sunday, July 13.
