Newton Falls residents should expect some increased noise from the National Guard on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 147th Regiment at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center is going to be using explosives in a combat engineer course.
The goal is to simulate realistic combat situations in their training.
Sounds from the explosions will likely be heard from a further distance than their regular operational sounds.
Residents an expect to hear intermittent explosions and gunfire at the facility throughout the National Guard's training season which will last through September.
