Newton Falls man sentenced to seven to 10 and a half years on child pornography charges

WARREN A Newton Falls man convicted of felony charges related to child pornography has learned his fate on Wednesday.

David Lucero, 45, was sentenced to seven to 10 and a half years in prison on eight counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor and two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.

Once released, Lucero must register as a tier 2 sex offender twice per year for the next 25 years.

The charges against Lucero stem from conduct that occurred between July and September 2023. Court records indicate that investigators found numerous images and videos depicting juveniles engaged in sexual conduct with adults or performing sexual acts on themselves.

Following his plea in May, Lucero was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before sentencing.
