Traffic slowed to crawl on I-680 in Youngstown following crashes

YOUNGSTOWN Southbound traffic on I-680 southbound had been reduced to a crawl following several crashes on Wednesday afternoon.

Information is limited at this time, but southbound and northbound traffic was backed up on I-680 near the Glenwood Avenue and Mahoning Avenue exit.

Our 21 News crew at the scene saw multiple Youngstown police cruisers, as well as fire trucks at the scene.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the crashes.

Youngstown Police Department told 21 News that they have not had anyone taken to the hospital at this time.
