Occupants escape house fire on Youngstown's north side

YOUNGSTOWN Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a Thursday morning house fire.

Crews arrived at the home in the 300 block of Calvin Street on Youngstown's north side around 7:40 a.m.

There were people inside when the fire began but they were able to make it out safely.

A 21 News crew at the scene said officials believe the blaze may have been electrical.

Ohio Edison is on scene and cut power to the house.
