Mahoning Co. Children Services experiencing phone issues, after-hours line restored

YOUNGSTOWN Mahoning County Children Services have been experiencing phone issues over the last few days according to a notice from the organziation.

The organization, located at 222 West Federal Street on the fourth floor, shared a suggestion for anyone needing to contact the organization while lines are down.

The notice suggests that if there is a need to report suspected child abuse or neglect, but are unable to contact the agency, to call local law enforcement. 

The after-hours phone service has been restored.

The agency is working to fix the problem, and encourages that anyone looking for updates can find them on the Mahoning County Children Services social media pages.

It is unknown at this time what has been causing the issue.
