YOUNGSTOWN Drivers whose commute includes the stretch along Meridian Road had to divert their route on Monday.
According to the Youngstown Water Department, crews were working at 5 a.m. Monday to repair a "real bad" main break south of Mahoning Avenue.
As of 1:30 p.m., the department was still working on the break.
Now, at 11 p.m. on Monday, the break has been repaired.
Meridian was completely closed near the Auto Zone, but officials confirm that the road is now completely reopened.
However, the Youngstown Water Department says it is now repairing another pipe on Mahoning Avenue that was related to the Meridian Road main break.
Officials say that this pipe on Mahoning Avenue may take until Tuesday afternoon to repair.
There is not a boil alert in place as of Monday afternoon.
