LISBON The Columbiana County Fair is underway this week, offering a blend of traditional agricultural showcases, thrilling grandstand events, and live entertainment for all ages. Running from Monday, July 28, to Sunday, Aug. 3, at the fairgrounds, 225 Lee Ave., Lisbon.

General admission to the fair is $10 for Tuesday through Sunday, which includes access to rides. Monday's preview night, which began at 3 p.m., cost $6 and did not include rides. Children 5 and under are admitted free daily. Service members in full uniform, as well as senior citizens (age 62 and older) and veterans with proper ID, also receive free admission all day Tuesday.

The grandstand is a focal point for many of the week’s biggest events. After a free Truck & Tractor Pull Extravaganza on opening night, Tuesday brings more free grandstand action with Harness Racing at 1 p.m. and a Draft Horse Pull at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday also marks Bike Night, with free admission for the rider.

Wednesday’s grandstand highlight is the SEBRA Extreme Bull Riding & Barrel Racing at 7 p.m., with bleacher and grandstand reserved seating available for $5. Prior to that, spectators can catch Mutton Busting at 6 p.m.

Thursday offers a free Derby Pull at 9 a.m. and a Rough Truck Event at 7 p.m. Grandstand action continues into the weekend with "Smoke & Noise" Truck/Tractor Pull on Friday at 7 p.m. and a "Power Pull" Truck & Tractor Pull on Saturday at 7 p.m., both priced at $10 for reserved seating.

The fair concludes Sunday with a free Combine Demolition Derby at noon, followed by a Demolition Derby at 6:30 p.m., which costs $10 for reserved seating.

Beyond the grandstand, the fair offers a wide array of activities. The Midway Stage will feature diverse musical acts throughout the week, including Brian Benner "Elvis" on Tuesday, "Real Country" with James Popp & Helena Vadino on Wednesday, and the Cowboy Up Band on Thursday.

Daily events also include various livestock judging competitions, ranging from Jr. Fair Market Hog Judging on Tuesday morning to Jr. Fair Steer Judging on Wednesday evening. The Arts & Crafts Building hosts a variety of judging events, including baked goods, horticulture, and a "Best Berry Pie Contest" judging on Thursday.
