Niles begins city wide street resurfacing project

NILES - The Mayor of Niles reminds city residents that a major street resurfacing project begins on Monday in an ongoing effort to update the city's infrastructure.

The project affects specific streets across the entire city and has been budgeted for approximately $1.7 million, according to Mayor Steve Mientkiewicz's office.

He asks that residents be mindful of construction zones and patient with traffic delays and detours.

Construction is expected to last approximately one month, with no specific schedule regarding which streets will be completed first.

Crews will begin their work in the 2nd Ward, or the east side of the city.

The following streets will be resurfaced over the course of the project:

1ST WARD (North side):

2ND WARD (East side):

3RD WARD (South central side):

4TH WARD (West side):
