East Palestine City Park's brand-new tennis and pickleball courts are almost ready to open to the public.
According to a post on the Village of East Palestine's Facebook page, the tennis and pickleball courts will be up and ready for use beginning Friday, August 1.
Village officials tell 21 News the park's new basketball courts are not ready yet because the village is still waiting on the backboards for the basketball hoops. No time frame was given for when the basketball courts will be open.
While the tennis and pickleball courts are open, the park is still under construction in some areas, so guests are still asked to avoid the areas indicated by orange or metal fencing and abide by the construction signage.
