YOUNGSTOWN Police are investigating a shooting on Youngstown's south side Sunday evening.

Around 10 p.m., Youngstown Police officers arrived on Zedaker Street to investigate a two-car accident.

Officers tell 21 News they believe the two vehicles were shooting guns at a house near the corner of Detroit Avenue before driving away and crashing into each other down the street on Zedaker and East Lucius Avenue.

According to a police report, both of the vehicles had been entered as stolen out of Campbell and Cleveland, respectively.

According to a police report, the incident was captured on the security camera of a home in the area. Police say it appeared that people in the two vehicles were shooting at each other and crashed into each other on purpose.

Police found multiple spent shell casings and a live road at the scene.

Officers also say the individuals involved fled on foot after they crashed the vehicles.

It is unclear if the suspects have been found since fleeing the scene.

There are no reports of injuries at this time, but one woman told police that her home was hit by the gunfire.

21 News will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
