ODOT: Delays expected on U.S. 30 in East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL  Drivers traveling on U.S. Route 30 in East Liverpool should anticipate delays this week due to construction, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Rolling roadblocks and intermittent traffic stoppages lasting up to 15 minutes are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the State Route 7 interchange.

Crews will be installing overhead beams on the 9th Street bridge, which will also affect traffic on State Route 39.

The ramps to and from State Route 7 will close intermittently as part of the work. Law enforcement will be on-site to periodically slow traffic to a rolling stop in advance of the interchange.

The overall project is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
