WARREN Police have charged a Warren man after he allegedly used a baseball bat to smash a car's windows as a used car dealer was attempting to repossess the vehicle.
Hasonn L. Miller, 52, of Atlantic St. NW, was arraigned Monday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging.
According to a police report, Warren officers were called to Palmyra Road SW Saturday to investigate a neighborhood disturbance.
An employee of a Warren used car dealer told police he was attempting to repossess a Dodge Charger from the residence when a man, later identified as Miller, arrived and began hitting the vehicle with a baseball bat.
The man repossessing the car told police he recorded video of Miller as he broke out the car's back, driver's side, and front windows.
The repo man, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of glass shards in his eyes, told police he was able to get a license plate number and description of the SUV the alleged assailant drove away.
Police found Miller at his home and arrested him. He was booked into the Trumbull County Jail.
The report did not say that Miller owned the car, but he was called over when the homeowner on Palmyra Road spotted the repo man.
