YOUNGSTOWN According to a Facebook post from the Animal Charity of Ohio Facebook page, humane agents have seized a dog in critical condition.
The one-year-old dog, named by the shelter as Wiley, is believed to be suffering from a possible drug overdose.
Jane MacMurchy, Coordinator for Animal Charity of Ohio, told 21 News that she has been in contact with doctors from MedVet on the condition of Wiley.
MacMurchy says that doctors are doing what they can to stabilize the dog. She told 21 News that MedVet doctors suspect that the dog is suffering from a THC overdose.
Wiley will remain with MedVet until he is cleared to either return to the Animal Charity of Ohio shelter or be released to a hospital in Akron for further treatment.
MacMurchy also told 21 News that Wiley, the name given to the dog by the shelter, was severely underweight when he was seized by humane agents.

MacMurchy told 21 News that the dog's owners were the ones to drop Wiley off at the animal hospital.
