A multi-million dollar grant from the Ohio Department of Development is being used to help Altobelli Real Estate transform and revitalize the former General Electric plant property in Niles.

Jason Altobelli, a real estate agent and broker at Altobelli Real Estate, told 21 News in an exclusive interview that he and his team will transform the site to accommodate small and mid-sized industrial and commercial companies.

Altobelli stated that the property, with 65,000 square feet of existing space and eight acres available for future growth, can support a wide range of businesses.

"Five to fifteen thousand square foot facilities, things like that [...] no storm water, no additional costs, just build your building and go." Altobelli said.

Altobelli emphasized the property's central location and growing interest from various businesses. Increased development is expected to create more jobs, and incentives for development are being offered.

Alotbelli expects the grounds to be shovel-ready before the end of August.
