A large police presence was headed to an area in Canal Township in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
21 News obtained a news release that indicated that the incident stemmed from officials attempting to serve a search warrant at a home.
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General assisted with serving a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Chestnut Grove Road in Canal Township.
When responders arrived, they found the resident had armed himself with a firearm, refusing to come out of the home.
After some time, officials with both departments were able to negotiate a peaceful end to the situation.
According to the release, there is no ongoing threat to the public.
PSP told 21 News that Chestnut Grove Road was closed for the time being while responders were at the scene. The road has since reopened.
