Window World has announced that its annual golf outing raised $108,872 to benefit underserved women and children across the Mahoning Valley, through the Ursuline Sisters Mission and Beatitude House. The proceeds will directly assist local families in need by providing safe housing, education, healthcare, food and basic necessities, the company said in a Thursday statement.
July marked the 29th year of the event and Window World said the benefit has evolved over the years to become a "signature community fundraiser" that unites local businesses and volunteers.
"It is my honor to be able to participate in and facilitate this wonderful event and raise much needed funds for a great cause," Window World Owner Pat Moran said.
The Beatitude House, a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters, focuses primarily on transforming the lives of those in poverty by providing housing and educational opportunities. The organization said in a statement that it is deeply grateful for the community support they receive each year through the golf outing.
"Through this annual golf outing, Window World has offered support to Ursuline Sisters Mission and to the vulnerable in our community. We look forward to an exciting 30th anniversary golf outing next year," Donor Relations Director Sister Patricia McNicholas said.
