Posted: Updated:

WARREN A suspect has been charged and arraigned in connection with a deadly shooting at a Warren convenience store earlier in August.

According to court records, 23-year-old Savion Woodall is charged with murder, having weapons under disability, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence. He was arraigned on these charges Friday morning and is due back in court August 21.

The charges stem from the shooting death of David Owens III, who was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Convenient Food Mart on Elm Road the morning of Sunday, August 3. A second man was wounded as a result of this shooting.

Warren police say they expect several more suspects to be charged in connection with this case.

In the days following the shooting, Convenient Food Mart was boarded up following authorization from the Trumbull County Court.

The store will remain closed until at least August 20, when a hearing is scheduled for the city to present its case that the store should remain closed even longer.
