Dead Possums Riding Club donates $55,000 to VFW program

After a successful fundraising event, the Dead Possums Riding Club of Mercer County is donating the hefty proceeds to a VFW program to help support veterans, active duty military and their families.

According to the club secretary, with almost 200 motorcycles, the Dead Possums 2025 Mercer County Patriots Ride from August 9 was the club's best turnout yet.

On Friday, the club presented the Reynolds VFW Post 7599 Veterans Outreach Program with the check, coming to a grand total of $55,000.

"What they've done and what the funds can do - it's endless. We encourage those veterans that need help to seek us out," said Michael Mason with the Reynolds VFW Post 7599.
