WARREN - A petition has been made in the hopes to keep a Warren convenience store operating following a recent homicide and temporary restraining order.
The store's manager Nabil Albanna spoke with 21 News Sunday morning, saying he will do anything to keep the Convenient Food Mart open.
Albanna plans on attending a special Warren council meeting on Monday regarding the renewal of the store's liquor license.
He told 21 News a petition document will be available at the meeting for those who wish to add their signature in support.
An online petition was also created with the title 'Save our store Convenient Food Mart' and has nearly 400 signatures.
On Sunday, August 3, a shooting outside of the Convenient Food Mart left one man dead and another injured.
During a press conference, Warren officials announced plans to shut down the store, stating that the building has been a nuisance for years. In the days that followed, the temporary restraining order was granted for the building and has been boarded up ever since.
