CAMPBELL Campbell City Schools students were treated to free haircuts on Monday, aiming to help them prepare for going back to school.
Students of all ages were encouraged to attend the event at the Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center, located at 436 Struthers-Coitsville Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Free haircuts and hairstyles were provided by barbers with the Polished Gents Barbershop, which can be found at 196 McCartney Road in Campbell.
Director of Whole Child Supports with Campbell City Schools, Jim Goske, told 21 News that the event has been going on for the past few years.
"I believe this is the fourth year that we have done [the event]. We're always looking to do things to benefit kids and families outside of the academic realm, and this is a great opportunity to do that," said Goske.
Goske also highlighted the partnership between the event organizers and the Polished Gents Barbershop members who participated.
"We just really appreciate them being involved, and it's great to have a Campbell business that we're able to partner with to make this a successful event," said Goske.
