Animal Charity of Ohio hosting donation match campaign until Wednesday

BOARDMAN Animal Charity of Ohio is seeking donations to help keep the shelter operational and avoid any kind of service cuts.

According to a post from the Animal Charity of Ohio TikTok account, any donations that are made to the shelter through PayPal, Venmo or Givebutter will be matched up to $15,000.

The post description outlines a time when the shelter is facing scarce resources and overpopulation.

Anyone interested in donating may also mail in or drop off donations to the shelter, located at 8469 Southern Boulevard, Building Three, in Boardman.

Any funds intended to be a part of the match are being accepted until Wednesday at midnight.

The match up to $15,000 is made possible by an anonymous donor.

According to Jane MacMurchy, Coordinator of Animal Charity of Ohio, donations as of Tuesday night across all fundraising platforms being utilized are over $7,000.

MacMurchy also told 21 News that all funds gathered during the match campaign would go directly toward shelter operations.
