Austintown Schools is set to hold a dedication ceremony for Fitch High School's new Veterans Plaza on Friday August 29.
The district constructed the plaza behind the high school near the future indoor athletic center facility. The new Veterans Plaza includes an arrangement of seven flagpoles, with the American flag at the center.
Superintendent Timothy Kelty will begin the ceremony at 6:00 p.m. with an introduction. Following the superintendent's comments, there will be performances from the Fitch High School Drumline and Concert Choir. Austintown's local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) 4237 post commander is also set to speak at the ceremony.

6:00 - Ceremony begins with Welcome & Introduction from Superintendent Kelty
6:05 - Marine Corp Color Guard presents the Colors to the FlagPole.
(Drumline will sound the march for Color Guard)
6:08 - Raising of the Flag.
6:10 - Concert Choir sings the National Anthem
6:13 - VFW 4237 Commander will speak
6:20 - Concert Choir sings "Pride to be an American"
6:30 - Ceremony concludes
