What's happening on day two at the Canfield Fair

 CANFIELD The Canfield Fair will hold its opening ceremony on Thursday, beginning a lineup of events that include livestock shows, live music, and a tractor rodeo.

The 179th fair's ribbon-cutting is set for 10 a.m. at the Concourse Stage. Agricultural competitions are a focus of the day, with shows and judging taking place across the grounds.

The Michael Kusalaba Event Center will be the site for a series of Junior Fair livestock shows, including the Market and Breeding Lamb Show at 8 a.m. and the Market Swine Showmanship at 11 a.m.

The day concludes with the Junior Fair Market Livestock Sale, including the Market Lamb Sale at 7 p.m. and the Market Swine Sale at 7:15 p.m.

At the Grandstand, a High School Band Show is set for 11 a.m., followed by the Tractor Rodeo at 6 p.m.

The Fine Arts Building will host various demonstrations and musical acts throughout the day, with a wood carving demonstration scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a performance by Brookelyn & Andrew from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Admission prices for Thursday are $8 for adults, $5 for youth ages 13-17, and free for children 12 and under. Parking is free.
