CANFIELD Fans coming to the final day of the 2025 Canfield Fair are hoping to hear Lynyrd Skynyrd play their hits like “Sweet Home Alabama”, “Simple Man”, and “Free Bird” when the Southern rock band takes the stage at the grandstand Monday night.
Fair attendees can also attend a variety of events on the final day, including harness racing and pari-mutuel betting at the grandstand.
Other events include a rooster crowing contest, mule racing, and a milking parlor demonstration. Musical performances and demonstrations are planned throughout the day, including the Leather & Lace Acoustic Band and various artists at the Fine Arts Building.
Junior Fair events will feature a goat carting exhibition, a pocket pet showmanship competition, and a dairy cheese auction. Costume classes for llamas, rabbits, and saddle horses are also scheduled.
Canfield Fair Monday Events
Attendance numbers for the fair's opening days have been recorded. On Wednesday, 27,916 people attended, an increase of 5,306 over the previous year. Thursday's attendance of 28,850 was a decrease of 1,230. Friday saw 42,053 fairgoers, an increase of 4,480. On Saturday, attendance reached 63,315, an increase of 8,250 compared to 2024.
On Sunday, attendance reached 69,737, marking the best Sunday attendance since 2018, when 74,262 people attended the fair.
Fairgoers are advised to plan for potential traffic delays due to the ongoing construction project of the Route 224 bridge replacement. Free parking and continuous shuttle service are available from the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center parking lot to Fairgrounds Gate 5 from noon to midnight.
On the final day, Monday, youth tickets (ages 7-12) are $5 and adult tickets (13 and up) are $8. Children 6 and under get free admission every day. Parking is free.
