As we all return to work and school after a long holiday weekend, we will be greeted by comfortable air before a cold front ushers in a cooler tone for the weekend.
Tuesday will stay mainly sunny into the evening with temperatures peaking in the upper 70s. After a seasonable afternoon, expect a clear sky after sunset with temperatures bottoming out to the low 50s on Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will be even warmer as afternoon high temperatures should return to the 80-degree mark for the first time since August 23rd. Clouds will build in overnight into Thursday morning, and a spotty shower or two can't be ruled out ahead of more widespread rain beginning after sunrise.
A cold front will advance widespread rainfall into the area after sunrise on Thursday, with rain likely for a time into the early afternoon on Thursday. The current timing has any rainfall tapering off gradually throughout the afternoon, with showers completely out of the area by sunset—good news for anyone planning to attend the Columbiana Street Fair parade on Thursday. Clouds will break up substantially overnight, and temperatures will bottom out in the low 50s on Friday morning.
Friday looks to end the week on a comfortable note with high temperatures in the mid 70s and a good deal of sunshine; a stray shower or two can't be ruled out, mainly during the afternoon and evening. The threat of a stray shower or two will stay in the forecast for high school football games and linger into Saturday morning.
A shower or two will be possible Saturday morning, but the second half of the day looks to feature more sunshine and cooler high temperatures in the upper 60s. Sunday will stay dry to end the weekend, but will remain cooler with a high temperature remaining in the upper 60s.
