EAST PALESTINE The Village of East Palestine, along with the East Palestine High School, has received one drone each as part of a donation from Cleartopia Solutions.

The donation announcement was made by the Village of East Palestine, Ohio Facebook profile on Wednesday, highlighting that the company that donated the drones was co-founded by East Palestine native Trent Casi.

The photos shared on Facebook, pictured above, depict two advanced Skydio drones. One drone is intended for municipal use, while the other is intended for East Palestine High School's STEM program.

According to the post, the drone that will be used by the village will support emergency response, infrastructure planning, environmental monitoring and other purposes.

The drone that will be utilized by the high school's STEM program aims to help students obtain hands-on learning opportunities with professional-grade technology being used in the field today.

In addition to the drones, training, software and aerial mapping valued at over $20,000 were donated as well.

Both the village and high school will have access to these tools.
