Warren couple indicted in connection with bestiality, child pornography case

A Warren couple has been indicted on Thursday in connection with a bestiality case.

According to a special grand jury report, Justin Mayfield (pictured above on right) was indicted on seven counts of rape with sexually violent offender specifications, for counts of endangering children and one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Meanwhile, Shawna Mayfield (pictured above on left) was indicted on 10 counts of rape with sexually violent offender specifications, eight counts of pandering sexually oriented material invovling a minor, four counts of endangering children, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual conduct with an animal.

Detectives said in a report that they were notified by the Ohio Crimes Against Children Task Force of possible child molestation occurring at a home on Waverly Avenue in July.

The indictment lists three victims for the rape charges between the ages of six and 10 years old as of this writing. The Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office says all the children are safe in the care of Trumbull County Children Services.

According to the indictment, the couple's alleged crimes occurred between 2020 and 2025.

"There is a mountain of evidence in this case, and we believe the state will be able to prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt," said Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman.

Investigators are accusing Shawna of creating and uploading multiple videos of child pornography, as well as having sexual contact with the family dog. The alleged incident with the dog occurred in May of 2025 according to the indictment.

A search of the couple's home revealed a large area in the basement to grow more marijuana than permitted by Ohio law, as well as bags of marijuana in the kitchen, dining room and in a lunchbox.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, both suspects pled not guilty to the charges against them and are currently being held without bond.

Both suspects are due back in court Wednesday, September 17.
